Is It Too Late For 2019 Goal Making?

On New Year's Eve when the clock struck twelve..
 I didn't resolve to do anything.
 I didn't set any goals.
 Maybe I didn't have any goals in mind? Maybe I just didn't feel like it?
Am I now too late to set some goals for myself?

Heck no.

Who says you can only make a list of goals on January 1st every year? You can set goals at any given time in your life AND you can take as much time as you need to accomplish them. I mean it is kind of fun seeing how many of your goals you can achieve in a set amount of time but if you don't succeed with all of them don't beat yourself up about it!
Personal; when I'm feeling down I really don't like to think about goal setting. Mainly because I'm in the "everything is pointless and won't make me feel better" mindset. (terrible mindset, I know) But that's how I was feeling around New Years. Hence, no goals. Today was different. I was feeling good and it got me thinking about all of the things that I could do/change to make me feel even better.

So without any further ado, here are some goals I'd like to achieve this year:

//incorporate daily exercise into my life//
Even just 10 minutes a day (more would be ideal but ya know, life). Exercise can do wonders for your state of mind so why not get at least a little everyday and see if it enhances my mood any.

//lose 25 pounds//
Hopefully the daily exercising plus trying to make healthier food choices will help me lose those pounds. I won't reach my ideal weight by losing 25 pounds but it'll be a great start.

//find a hobby i'm passionate about//
Or at least something I really enjoy doing.

//write an e-book//
This is something I've been thinking about a lot recently. I really want to write an e-book with snack ideas for dairy free toddlers.

//pay off at least 5% of our debts//
I'm including all debts combined (mortgage, car, loans, etc) so 5% will only knock off a small chunk but, not gonna lie, its still going to be really hard trying to pay even just 5% off!

//fully finish renovating at least two rooms in the house//
It'll be hard but I'm hopeful.

//step outside of my comfort zone with my hair//
I really want to try going mostly or fully blonde. I've never been blonde and honestly I don't know how well it will suit me but I mean, I've gotta try right!? I also want to get a much shorter hair cut.

//get a new tattoo//
This sort of goes hand-in-hand with losing 25 pounds because where I want my next tattoo (ribs) I need to feel a little more comfortable with my body.

Well that's all I've got. If I accomplish even one of these goals this year I'll be satisfied :)
Let me know some of your goals!

  2. These sound like such awesome goals! I would definitely love to read your ebook if you make one, I always end up in that mindset you talked about too, sometimes I am just trying to survive and have to take it just minute by minute. When I feel strong enough I try to tell myself, give everything a go, everything is worthwhile and will lead you somewhere new :D that life has more surprises and to remind myself I'm not seeing things properly when I fall in to a bad place xx
