7 Dairy Free Breakfast Ideas For Toddlers

*toddler breakfast ideas......healthy toddler snacks......easy lunch ideas for toddlers*

If you're anything like me that's probably what your Google/Pinterest search history looks like.

And, if you're anything like me you probably walk away from your computer still wondering what the heck you're going to feed your kid because there's no way I'm attempting to make woodland creature themed breakfasts or 10 course lunches for my two year old- not uh, not gonna happen.

Throw in the added struggle of trying to come up with meal ideas that are dairy free and you're just about ready to throw in the towel and give your child cereal for every meal.

If this is you then have no fear friend- I've got you covered (at least for a week).

Today I'm sharing 7 easy, dairy free breakfast ideas for your toddler.

BREAKFAST IDEA #1
- APPLE CINNAMON OATMEAL
- BLACKBERRIES
- DAIRY FREE CHERRY YOGURT

We'll start with the easiest breakfast idea. Oatmeal is something we always keep in the house and is eaten for breakfast quite often. Of course, homemade oatmeal is better but when you're in a crunch just use the packaged stuff! As for yogurt we always buy the dairy free stuff by Daiya. Its by far the best dairyfree yogurt we've tasted (and we've tasted a lot!). It can be a little expensive, typically around $2.30 per container (about 1 cup), but she doesn't eat yogurt everyday so it's not too bad. You can totally buy cheaper dairy free yogurt though if you find one your toddler likes!

BREAKFAST IDEA #2
- PEANUT BUTTER & BANANA QUESADILLA
-BLUEBERRIES
-CHOPPED CHERRY TOMATOES

For the peanut butter and banana quesadilla: On an ancient grain tortilla spread peanut butter. Add slices of banana to one side. *optional: sprinkle a couple of dairy free chocolate chips (I usually add four or five)* Fold tortilla and fry in a pan with coconut oil until lightly browned on both sides.

BREAKFAST IDEA #3
- SCRAMBLED EGGS & TOAST
-TURKEY BACON
-WATERMELON CHUNKS

Pretty straight forward breakfast! Eggs, bacon, toast and fruit. It's always a hit though!

BREAKFAST IDEA #4
-WAFFLES
-DAIRY FREE YOGURT
-SLICED GRAPES

We love the all organic flax seed waffles by Nature's Path. There's literally like five ingredients (that you know and can pronounce!) and they're made with organic ingredients. Packaged breakfast foods normally aren't so great but I feel totally fine giving these to my toddler. Lightly drizzle with some pure maple syrup!

BREAKFAST IDEA #5
-RAINBOW FRUIT
-FRIED EGG
-DAIRY FREE YOGURT

Rainbow fruit is so fun and your toddler will be very pleased to see so many different fruits in one go! This day we used banana, blueberries, raspberries, cantaloupe and blackberries. Fruit can get expensive so this is something we do usually when berries go on sale!

BREAKFAST IDEA #6
- MINI PANCAKES
-RASPBERRIES
-APPLESAUCE

You can make homemade mini pancakes like I did here or you can use the box mix! (we do all the time) whatever is easiest. Again, we just lightly drizzled with pure maple syrup.

BREAKFAST IDEA #7
- TOAST WITH PEANUT BUTTER AND HOMEMADE CHIA SEED JAM
- HONEY NUT CHEERIOS
- BANANA SLICES

Chia seed jam is SO easy to make. Three ingredients is all it takes: 2 cups berries (frozen or fresh), 2 tbsp chia seeds and 2 tbsp maple syrup (or honey). Find instructions here. But, if you don't want to make chia seed jam any old jam will do!

So there you have it! 7 easy, dairy free breakfast ideas that will (hopefully) satisfy even the pickiest of eaters.

Let me know what you feed your toddler!
